چکیده

Crude fibers (CF) take a special place in the growing rabbit`s nutrition. In depend on their origin and composition, CF have digestibility 1725% in the roughages and up to 40-50% in the green and concentrate feeds. They are very important in the regulation of the processes of both digestibility and bacterial synthesis. The optimal CF quantity for growing rabbits is 12-15%. Alfalfa hay is preferred source of CF for rabbits, but it is too expensive. But, there are other sources of CF which are more suitable because of their price are lower. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of different sources of CF in the mixed rations for rabbits on blood biochemical changes, Volatile Fatty Acids (VFA) production in the ceacum and some fermentative parameters. In this respect we have interest to study the next sources of crude fibers: dry distillers` grain of wheat (DDGSw), produced by Bulgarian firm as a source except for crude fiber 13% and crude protein (CP) also – 32%; meadow hay and as well as wheat straw as main and chipper sources of CF in the growing rabbits diets. Three compound feeds were prepared. All compound feeds contained 20% oats, 15% barley, 16.40%wheat bran, 10% soybean meal, 5% sunflower meal. The main sources of CF for the diets were: 30% Alfalfa hay (control group); 10% DDGSw + 20% meadow hay (Experimental group I, EG I) and 15% DDGSw + 15% wheat straw (Experimental group II, EG II). The obtained results showed that there were no any incidences of digestive disorders in all investigated groups. Improvement of cecal fermentation led to better NGR and FOM. We made conclusion that DDGSw in combine with meadow hay or wheat straw could use as alternative sources of CF for growing rabbits.

Response of early weaned rabbits to source and level of dietary fiber.

Growth, cecal volatile fatty acids, mineral profile of plasma, liver weight and gastrointestinal weights were measured in rabbits fed isonitrogenous, equicaloric diets containing 3, 6, 9 or 12% dietary crude fiber from either alfalfa or Coastal Bermuda grass. Rabbits were fed from 4 to 8 wk of age. Alfalfa diets improved (P less than .05) average daily gain (20.5 vs 11.9 g/d) and livability (67...

Some Productive, Reproductive and Physiological Effects of Using Different Dietary Protein Levels in Rabbit Does

Three groups of 11 New Zealand White (NZW) rabbit does, each were reared from 12 weeks of age on iso-energetic diets containing 16, 14 or 12% crude protein (CP) were used to study influences on productive performance, digestibility, some carcass traits, haematological, biochemical and hormonal parameters of rabbit does. The results showed rabbits fed on 16% protein diet had heavier body weights...

In number (16 of 22) of infants in the Dutch laboratory rabbit breeding colony, in aged 45-65 days old, hair loss (alopecia) seen at the top of the head and around a week after the hair fall, was created in a state of complete alopecia. For determination of the cause of hair loss, after the observation and palpation the alopecic area, there have not been any swelling, abscesses, tumors. In skin...

Effect of Dietary Crude Protein Level on UT-B Expression and Nitrogen Efficiency in Growing Baluchi Male Lambs Fed Low or High Concentrate Diets

An experiment was carried out to evaluate how interactions between forage to concentrate ratio and dietary crude protein level may alter nitrogen efficiency and UT-B expression in growing Baluchi male lambs. Four Baluchi male lambs [30 ± 2 kg BW] were used in a 4 × 4 latin square design with 28-d periods and a 2 × 2 factorial arrangement of dietary treatments. The treatments fed forage: concent...
